Results Of September Photography Competition!!

The theme for the Photography Club Competition for the month of September was "Aqua", and as expected, we ended up with loads of "below sea-level" photos!!

The tough job of judging the snaps was done by ace Photographer Mr. Alirio Saldanha, Director of the Stenodac Academy Of Professional Photography And Cinematography.

Brownie points were awarded to photographers who had mentioned photographic details like ISO and shutter speed of their snaps (These details were discussed at the last meeting of the club).

Here are the results :

1st Place: Suryanand Shirodkar - Flowing Water

Details:ISO 100, shutter speed: 100, focus: 3.1

Description:This picture shows a clean and pure flowing water.
By flowing in the forward direction it gives us a message that,
we should not look back to our past and
focus on our future.

2nd Place: Nishkarsh Khandekar - Melting Point

Details: ISO:64, Aperture: f/5.6

Description: An ice cube resting on an iron grill melts away in the scorching
heat.
Came up with this while watching a TV show on global warming.
So lets say this was my
'little' way of depicting the same.

3rd Place: Nishkarsh Khandekar - Blue

Details: ISO: 125, Aperture: f/3.6

Description:An ice cube placed on a sheet of glass slides over a thin film
of H2O....
(it was actually sliding when i clicked it).

4th Place: Pranav Pai Vernekar - Liquid On Liquid

Details: Focal Length: 25 mm, Exposure: 0.013s, Aperture : f/2.5 ISO: 400

Description: This Picture shows droplets of water on a window pane
of a GEC Bus.Glass is scientifically considered to be a super cooled liquid,
hence the caption "Liquid on Liquid".

Congratulations to the winners!! Great going guys!!
P.S : Also check out the other entries submitted for the competition in this earlier blog post.
