As the new academic year commenced, the GEC Photography Club started resumed it's regular activities. We held our inaugural meet on 12 Aug 2010 ... and were happy to see that the new year brought with it many new faces as well!!We started off the day by showing the new members a short promo video telling them about the idea behind the club, the activities undertaken by us:
We had so much to talk about: The club's
activities, events the club would be covering, events the club would be participating in, tie-ups with academic & commercial organisations (more on that later) and of course introduction of our club's main event, the Annual Photography Festival, PhotoFlare.A short brainstorming session with members helped bring up some brilliant ideas about forthcoming activities & competitions.
The theme for the intra-club photography competition for the month of August was also disclosed: Monsoon Magic!
To top it off, we had a lovely Photo-walk to the far end of the campus, truly bringing a grand ending to the awesome day!!
