Mr. Alirio Saldanha, our technical consultant and professional photographer, had a tough time choosing the best pictures from amongst the entries.
After a lot of deliberation, these are the pictures he has selected as the prize winning ones:
1st Place: Suryanand Shirodkar -Hiding Colours
Details: ISO 100, F3.1, shutter speed:130
Description: It appears as though colours are hiding behind long grass(which actually is peacock feather) in the rainy days. By all coming together they give us a message of life can be very beautiful if we all be together.
Judge's comment: Suryanand has taken time and trouble to create this picture, which needed "application of mind." The thought of blending the peacock's features added another dimension to an otherwise interesting concept in itself. Over all, a great picture which goes well with the theme of "Go for Colours." This photograph has a strong creative element involved.

2nd Place: Navin Pai -Dancing Lights
Details: Aperture: f/3.9, Exposure time: 2 secs, Focal length: 12.2 mm
Description: Before, there was darkness....then lights appeared, and danced their way around the world. This picture is a little way of representing the ballet of lights
Judge's comment: A colourful riot of colours at night. Though it is predominantly red, the interweaving of the light strings make it a very attractive picture, at first glance. The tiny licks of blue add a different spectrum to the gamut of colours.
